Jae Hui is filming and interacting with other villagers in the convenience store but gets awkward the minute Nam Gyeong ho walks in to buy something.

Na Gyeong offers a tired Ju Yeong ramyun noddles but he refuses claiming it’s unhealthy. Na Gyeong thinks he’s just a spoilt brat but the smell of the ramyun entices Ju Yeong. He ends up joining her, even finishing the whole bowl to her amusement.

Gyeong ho reports to Na Gyeong’s father that the village is doing well but he doesn’t tell him about Na Gyeong’s living situation. That night, Na Gyeong finds Ju Yeong asleep in the couch and while she’s covering him up with a blanket, she gets mesmerized by his handsome face especially his lips and remarks that although he looks fine on the outside, he’s actually weak. She flees before he can notice her.

The next morning, Ju Yeong wakes up, confused by the blanket wrapped around him. During her run with Gyeong ho, he suddenly asks Na Gyeong if she likes Ju Yeong. Although she fervently denies it, Gyeong ho isn’t convinced considering how she acts and bickers with Ju Yeong all the time. He tries to advice her but Na

Recap: ‘Love Next Door’ Continues To Delight In Episode 4

This is good, isn’t it? I know I’ve said it before, but Episode 4 of Love Next Door only crystallizes my point that recapping this alongside Romance in the House is a stark reminder of the differences in fundamental quality between the two shows. And it’s slightly more impressive in this case since Love Next Door is so generic and overfamiliar – evoking the aforementioned Doctor Slump, as well as Welcome to Samdal-ri and several others – that the fact it’s so compelling is a really impressive achievement.

And I still can’t put my finger on why. It’s very well-acted, obviously, and solidly written, but I don’t think that’s it. There remains a feeling of just-right intangibles that really elevate what would otherwise be a highly generic romantic K-Drama. You approach a show like Romance in the House with a professional curiosity, but you come at Love Next Door with a fan’s enthusiasm.

Lost in Time

Anyway, picking up from where Episode 3 left off, Seok-ryu and Seung-hyo reached something of a turning point in their present-day relationship by finally asking some relevant ques
