How does pooling work? The basic steps explained
Pool is played by two people. Are you with more people and do you want to engage at the same time at one pool table? Then you can make two teams and alternate in the team. You determine before the game who plays with the full balls and who plays with the half balls.

The game is played on a rectangular six pocket table with 15 balls (seven yellows, seven reds and one black 8-ball) plus 1 white Cue Ball.
To win, a player or team must pocket all their group of object balls in any order, and then legally pocket the 8 ball.
The Lag
Each player takes a ball-in-hand. They should be balls of equal size and weight.
The players stand at the head rail, one on the left side of the table and the other on the right with the balls placed on the head string. The head string is the quarter of the table farthest from the rack, the players shoot their balls to the end of the table simultaneously. The balls must bounce off the foot rail (the far rail) and come back to the head rail. The player with the ball that stops closest to him or her at the head rail wins. The ball can either bounce off the head rail or just come to a halt after the bounce off the foot rail — it doesn’t matter. All that matters is how close the ball stops in relation to the head rail. The player who shot the ball that stops closest, wins the lag. The winner may then choose to break first or to have his or her opponent break first.

OBJECTIVE – Accumulate the most points in one inning by pocketing up to one rack of balls (15 balls) in any order, without missing or scratching based upon a pre-established scoring system. Essence of the game is that points are awarded based on difficulty of shots.
SCORING SYSTEM – Points awarded as follows:
- Direct shot
- Combination/billiard
- Short side bank/kick
- Long side bank/kick
- Two or more cushions bank/kick
- MONEY ($) which is the black ball
- 1 point
- 2 points

GENERAL RULES OF PLAY:
- Point total is zero at the start of each inning
- Rack as in the game of 8-ball. In other words, the head ball in the rack shall be placed on the spot and the $ ball (black ball) shall be in the center of the row containing three balls.
- Cue ball shall be placed anywhere in the kitchen for the break shot similar to other Pocket Billiards games such as 9-ball or Snooker.

9-ball
9-ball is the classic among the rotation games, i.e. the games where the balls have to be hit and pocketed in ascending order. In order to make a correct shot, the object ball with the lowest number of the balls remaining on the table must always be hit first. If this is fulfilled and any object ball is pocketed, the player’s turn continues.
Objective of the game
The winner of a 9-ball game is the player who sinks the 9 ball with a correct shot. It does not matter whether it is the last object ball to drop with a normal shot, a valid combination over another ball, or by pure chance, as long as the rules for a correct shot are met. Potting the 9 ball on the break also automatically leads directly to winning the game if the break was executed correctly. Furthermore, a game can be won if the opponent commits a foul in three consecutive shots (see Three-Foul Rule).
