'The Couple Next Door' Season 2: Breaking Down The Ending Of The Twisty Drama
Fans of Channel 4's The Couple Next Door need no disclaimer when it comes to the messiness that goes on in the cul-de-sac that is The Crescent, and since the release of season two on July 14, we've been welcomed back into the high-stakes drama that goes on in the street, as this season turned its focus to more inhabitants of the neighbourhood, both old and new.
Enter heart surgeon, Charlotte Roberts (Annabel Scholey), and her husband, consultant anaesthetist Jacob (Sam Palladio) who are central to the unfolding of the drama. On the surface the pair seem to be fairly happy, however, before long the cracks of their relationship become glaringly clear, thanks to the introduction of new neighbour and colleague Mia (Aggy K Adams).

Over the course of the past few weeks, we’ve learned a great deal about the dangers of lying, courtesy of the STARZ series, The Couple Next Door. Simply because the journey at hand has showcased in great detail how lies… will slowly erode our conscience, rip apart our relationships and possibly break us if we cannot be honest with ourselves. All of which has given increase to compelling moments that hold left our jaws slack with surprise and have undoubtedly prompted us to think deeply upon how we are doing with honesty in our own lives. But despite such powerful lessons, this is still a story, and the story has been building up to something essential , something we are eager to see.

The Couple Next Door is a psychological drama all about the entangled lives of two couples: Evie (Eleanor Tomlinson) and Pete (Alfred Enoch), a new pairing who've just moved into a new neighborhood. There, they cross paths with their new neighbors, traffic cop Danny (Sam Heughan) and fitness instructor, Becka (Jessica De Gouw).
In the second episode, Evie gets some shocking family news, and a revelatory beach trip with their newfound friends opens Evie's eyes to the way that Becka and Danny's relationship. It really is quite interesting what the new STARZ series, The Couple Next Door, is accomplishing from a storytelling standpoint. For it is much more than a steamy show about polyamory, it’s an outright study of the duality of the modern world, and how little realize, that so many people are not always what they seem because of the duality within. Which it is showcasing through the character’s unique and sometimes painful journeys, and it is showing no signs of slowing down regarding that. The Couple Next Doorseason 2 kicked off on Channel 4 last night (Monday 14th July), and viewers (including myself) are already hooked.
The new series centres around heart surgeon Charlotte and her consultant‑anesthetist husband, Jacob, whose seemingly perfect life is interrupted by their new neighbour and nurse at their hospital, Mia (played by Aggy K. Adams).
From the minute she arrived, Mia's behaviour has raised suspicion - from her move to the Leeds from Sweden, to her being able to afford a home on the posh street where her boss lives while on a nurse's salary.
And in episode two, she raised major alarm bells, as one of the patients at the hospital suddenly died, and she showed zero remorse.
